11th LUX STYLE AWARD 2012
The 11th LSAs are being held tonight at the Expo Center in Karachi. Pakistan holds its most celebrated awards ceremony, The Lux Style Awards (LSA) 2012.
Best Dressed (Female) award goes to designer Sanam Chaudhri, while Best Dressed (Male) award goes to Umair Tabani.
Actors Sadia Imam and Faisal Qureshi present award for Best Emerging Talent (Fashion) to Zaheer Abbas.
Sanam Baloch wins Best TV Actress (Terrestrial) for her role in PTV’s Sehra Teri Pyaas.
Best TV Actor (Terrestrial) award goes to Noman Ejaz for his role in PTV’s Aao Kahani Buntay Hain. Mathira and former singer of the band ‘Call’, Junaid Khan pay tribute to the late legendary singer Ahmed Rushdi by dancing on one of his songs.
Ibrahim Nafees passes away, Altaf Hussain pays tribute

May, 2012. Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has expressed his profound grief and sorrow on the death of noted film, television, and stage artiste Ibrahim Nafees. He paid rich tributes to Ibrahim Nafees for his unforgettable services in the field of performing arts and said void created by his death would never be fulfilled. He offered condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the divine forgiveness and eternal peace of the departed Soul.

Shabnam and Robin Ghosh honoured
The legenday actress queen of the golden era (1960-80) of Pakistani cinema and her musician husband Robin Ghosh were honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award by the Government of Pakistan.
Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani conferred the award in a ceremony
organized by Pakistan Television (PTV) in Lahore on Saturday night. PM
Gilani while addressing the ceremony glorified the services rendered by
the duo.
Ghazal Maestro Mehdi Hassan in ICU
KARACHI: Ghazal maestro, Mehdi Hassan is in intensive care unit of a private hospital,
Sources reported.
According to his son, Arif Mehdi, he was rushed to hospital after he suffered a bout of obstructive breathing disorder.
Doctors have decided to keep him under observation for now.

LUX STYLE AWARDS 2011
Pakistan Premier show 10th Lux Style Awards were held in Karachi's Expo
Center on 17 September 2011. The awards were presented in many categories
including Fashion, Music, Entertainment and Television. Lux Style Awards
now are a permanent feature of Pakistan's fashion and entertainment scene.
A prominent feature of this year awards was to pay tribute to legendary
actor Moin Akhtar who passed away recently.
