THE ACADEMIA ITALIANA: BEST FASHION DESIGNING SCHOOL IN ITALY
One of the the best fashion and designing schools in Italy is The Accademia Italiana, as numerous experts in the field have testified. Founded in 1984 the Accademia Italiana has campuses in Florence and in Rome, and programs in cooperation with prestigious universities from all over the world.
The Accademia Italiana offers bachelor’s programs and some masters programs in the fields of Fashion and Costume Design, in Interior and Product Design, Graphic Design, Jewelry Design, Photography and New Media. A department of Italian language and culture is also active.

Pakistan Fashion Design Council (PFDC) and Sunsilk held (PFDC) Sunsilk Fashion Week in Karachi on 20-23 October. The PFDC and Sunsilk event was staged at Karachi Expo Center in collaboration with the TDAP. This mega PFDC Sunsilk Fashion show was held in parallel to the trade event. This mega event included Adnan Pardesy, Hassan Sheheryar Yasin (HSY), Khaadi, Muse, Nickie Nina, Thе House οf Kamiar Rokni аnԁ Zaheer Abbas, whο hаνе bееn selected through thеіr shows οn thе PFDC Sunsilk runway аt Pret-a-Porter Feminin іn Paris.
THE DESIGNERS LAUNCHED IN KARACHI
Multi-brand store, The Designers, was launched in Karachi.
The Designers is a Multi Brand store housing top labels of Pakistan such as HSY, Karma, Unbeatable,Nomi Ansari, Mehdi,Deepak Perwani, Shaiyanne Malik, m.a.y.s.o.o.n, Ego, mina, Fariha, Moazzam Abbasi, Nadia Lakdawala and Zainab Sajid.
SANA SAFINAZ EXHIBITION
One of the top brand of Pakistan SanaSafinaz launched the preview of its
Export Autumn Winter 2011 collection on Tuesday, August 16 at The House
of Ensemble, Karachi. With around 200 pieces displayed at the fashion
retail store, there were only a few suits left after the first few
minutes of the exhibition.
The collection reflected SanaSafinaz’s signature style — delicate and intricate embroidery, embellishments, diamantes on necklines and flowy shirts that looked more like ponchos. From the combination of pink, black and beige, to shades of green and brown, the collection toyed with chiffon as its primary fabric.

09 - 12, 2011, at Karachi, Pakistan. This fashion week will showcase
Pakistan’s top 32 fashion brands and couture designers through series of
fashion runway shows and a fashion gallery.
FASHION EXHIBITION AT Café 9 in Zamzama
Designers Nazish Hussain and Sabeen Ali exhibited their new collections
at Café 9 in Zamzama this week. Nazish Hussain Couture, Hussain’s label,
is fun, with vibrant colors. The price range of her summer/spring
collection starts from around Rs2,500 and goes up to Rs9,000. Hussain
has previously exhibited her collections in Dubai, Canada and the USA.
She graduated from the Asian Institute of Fashion Design just four years
ago.
LIFESTYLE LAUNCHES ITS NEW STORE IN KARACHI BY AL-KARAM
The Dubai-based LifeStyle launched its store in Karachi. The store
features a range of products such as fashion accessories, handbags, spa
products and home furnishing. The store is at Emerald Towers.
LifeStyle has over 101 stores, mostly across Gulf countries. Karachi
store is Lifestyle’s second outlet in Pakistan, with the first one being
in Lahore. In Pakistan, the brand has been introduced by the textile
giant AlKaram.
